Why I do this
Starting as an Assistant Professor, I faced the complexities of proposal writing while balancing the demands of academia. Securing an NSF CAREER Award was transformative for my research and career. Unlike many peers, I did not earn my Ph.D. in the U.S., which meant I had to learn the U.S. research system from the ground up. That experience shaped how I now read and support CAREER proposals.
The NSF CAREER Award is one of the most consequential grants an early-career scientist will pursue. It is also one of the most misunderstood. My work is to help assistant professors plan and write proposals that reflect their actual research vision, not generic templates.
Early planning
Clarifying your research vision and identifying the through-line that will anchor the proposal.
Research-education integration
The section most often weak in CAREER drafts. We work on making it genuinely integrated, not appended.
Reviewer-side perspective
NSF panel review experience informs how I read your draft. We pressure-test it against actual CAREER review criteria.
